I liked the fast pacing of the narration, good character development and the depth the plot had. I found the reasons and justifications the main character gave herself to kill rather childish and immature. Whatever the reasons, she had been adept at killing and getting away with murder all her life! Its shocking how easy it was. It made me wonder how many serial killers are there, walking around in civilian clothes, around us every minute, every day! Towards the end, it became like a cat and mouse chase with the cop, Henry Kimball and Lucy Kintner, the suspect, playing catch up. I liked the book very much. Would love to read the next book in the series.

Lucy Kintner is a murderess. She had been taking lives of men - mostly - who are close to her who have done something to either hurt her sentiments or posed a threat to her safety. It started when she was thirteen years old and she killed a tenant in her house- a booze addicted, painter Chet. She disposed of his body and that was that. She grew up into a beautiful woman with an attractive, thin, lanky body and bright red hair that make men fall in love/obsession with her rather fast. They little knew of her secrets or her killer instincts. She gets involved in a grisly murder .. not one but many bodies involved.. and has the detective chasing/following after her secretly. As usual, the police don't have much to hold her in custody and she could walk free. The ending threatens to expose all her well kept secrets and let the cat out of the bag. I could picture her reading the note her father sent and going into full panic mode. It's how well I synced with her character!  What will happen in the next book of the series?!
