The Devil Knows Her Name  By C. N. Vair  Published Year: 2026 Page Count: 384 pages  Medium Used: OnePlus Nord Ce6, Moon Reader  Genre : Horror, Devil, Thriller, Murder Mystery, Gothic, Magic, Young Adult, 2026-read.  Rating: 5/5 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎  Wow. What an amazing read. The factor that stands out in favor of this book is how damn good the prose is. It baited me and had me clinging to the hook till the end. The eerie atmosphere is present all through, giving chills down the spine. Very original, freakishly scary. This comprises of all the usual and unique scaring elements like making deals with the devil, eternal youth, mind control magic, binding the devil and his power among other things. There is desperation and violence resulting from that. This is the first person narrative of a woman Tess and she tells her story of how far she went and how many sacrifices she made to save and secure the most important thing to her! A woman - a witch - actually,...

The Prisoner of Heaven  (The Cemetery of Forgotten Books #3) By Carlos Ruiz Zafon  Published Year: 2011 Page Count: 280 pages  Medium Used: Kindle PW  Genre: Historical Fiction, Drama, Schizophrenia, Devil, Prison Escape, Spain, 2026-read.  Rating : 5/5 😀😀😀😀😀 What a sensational read! I was hooked from the beginning till the last page. Although there is less action and less twists in this one than the other two books in the series, it didn't disappoint me. His was a subtle and nuanced presence - despite that he was the linchpin weaving the important events shaping the complex lives of the main characters. 😇 Digging into the story a bit, this story, for the most part, is told ...

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue   By V.E.Schwab   Published Year: 2020 Medium Used: Kindle PW Genres : Historical Fiction, young adult , Soul, Devil, Romance, 2022-read. Rating : 4.25/5 This is my first book by the author and I am pleasantly surprised by the depth and insight she has into human nature and emotions. I really liked the evocative nature of her writing. I would say the word to describe this book would be : it is impactful, heavy, deep, soulful and literally dealing with souls. But also, I have more questions than those answered in the book. These questions and musings, pertaining to the devil , might be uncomfortable to some and morbid to all. But still, I can't help but wonder. Its just the nature of the book that gives birth to these thoughts in me. I am sure of it.   A young girl makes a deal with the devil /God of the woods and sparks a game spanning over 300 years, with him chasing her, trying to seize her soul while she evades hi...
